Pricing & Sponsorship

Tiered Pricing

In 2026 we changed our registration fees to a tiered pricing structure. Between the activities, the community, the memories and the life-long impact, those who’ve experienced camp know that it is a near indescribable experience. But what many people may not realize is that the cost of running summer programs at Camp Pagweak is much higher than what we typical charge.

We estimate that the true cost of welcoming a single camper into a week-long programs is over $800 in staffing, food, power, insurance, etc. We recognize that such a cost is not practical or attainable for many families and so as a non-profit charity, that wants to see as many kids come to camp as possible, we offer subsidy for every camper that attends our programs. This is only made possible thanks to the ongoing support of generous donors who gives towards our regular operations.

In light of this true cost of camp, we have changed our pricing structure to a tiered pricing system where parents/guardians can pay different levels of the true cost of camp.

This pricing is entirely self-selected during registration and there is no differentiation, attention, or preference given based on the price paid. Price selection is only viewable by administrative staff. All prices include money for tuck & a t-shirt.

For all of our programs, there are three pricing options:

  • Option 1 - This price represents approx. 45% of the true cost of camp.

  • Option 2 - This price represents approx. 60% of the true cost of camp.

  • Option 3 - This prices represents approx. 75% of the true cost of camp.

*In the event that our subsidizes prices are still too much, please explore our sponsorship options listed below.

Why pay a less subsidized price?

Our subsidized prices are offset by the generosity of donors to our general fund. While ensuring kids can come to camp at an affordable rate is one of the top priorities for this fund, it is also responsible for elements such as routine maintenance, introduction of new activities, and staff wages. By paying a larger portion of the true cost of camp, you will allow us to divert more funds towards taking care of and upgrading our programs and facility. .

We believe that finances should not prevent any child from being able to attend summer camp. While all of our registration fees are subsidized, for some families these fees are simply still out of reach. As such, we’ve created a sponsorship fund, fueled by the generosity of donors within our community, to help those in need of additional support beyond our typical subsidy.

If you desire for a relative or someone you know to experience a week of fun and adventure and growth at Camp Pagweak, but you do not have the means accessible, please consider our Camper Sponsorship program.

Sponsorship

Who is Eligible?

Everyone who feels that the cost of registration would keep them from sending their child to experience camp is welcome to apply. While we ask that anyone applying for sponsorship be responsible to cover the $50, non-refundable deposit, our sponsorship fund can cover up to the entirety of the remaining balance for a week of camp.

How do I apply?

We would encourage everyone who intends to apply for sponsorship to first approach a local church or community group to see if funding is available before submitting a sponsorship form through Camp Pagweak as we receive a significant number of applications every summer.

If they are unable to assist at this time, please continue with a sponsorship application. You’ll find this application form within our registration process. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the process, you’re always welcome to contact us at camppagweakoffice@gmail.com.

Even if you are applying for sponsorship, be sure to submit your $50 deposit through our registration portal or via mail (9395 Hwy 6, Pugwash, NS B0k 1L0) as this saves your camper’s bunk. We will then get back to you as soon as we can regarding the status of your application.
